Isabelle Collins Parchard, a naturopath and vitalist, advocates for a healthy lifestyle that aims to optimize the vital energy of each individual. This approach involves a better understanding of the role of nutrition in our daily lives as well as detoxification processes. She shared her vision with us during an interview.

Can you explain to us what a healthy diet consists of from the perspective of naturopathy?

Isabelle: A healthy diet is the very foundation of our holistic approach in naturopathy. It encompasses not only the physical body but also the material, seeking to readjust energetic imbalances, optimize energy levels, and promote the proper functioning of the body, especially in its elimination processes. The goal is to capitalize on the energetic potential of each individual to allow their body to function optimally. I also consider eating behaviors, often rooted in educational and media habits. That’s why I always start with a retrospective assessment to identify eating patterns. The aim is to support and redirect towards vibrant and living food choices, in resonance with our own cellular vibration.

How does naturopathy approach eating disorders?

Isabelle: Eating disorders can stem from various factors, and naturopathy always seeks to establish a connection between eating behavior and health issues. Whether it’s a simple dietary adjustment or a more complex issue, there are always intervention possibilities. I also take into account the temperament and vitality of each individual. Naturopathy focuses on vital energy and explores the psycho-emotional spheres to better understand the different manifestations of disease, whether they are inflammatory, chronic, or degenerative.

How are emotions linked to our diet and overall health?

Isabelle: Emotions play a crucial role in our relationship with food and our general well-being. Many of our eating behaviors are responses to emotional needs, such as filling a void or addressing a lack. When food ceases to fulfill its primary role of nourishing our cells, it becomes a means of managing stress or emotions. This can lead to an imbalance between the mind and digestion, affecting our overall health. That’s why it’s essential to explore these psycho-emotional aspects for a holistic approach to health.

You regularly organize detox retreats, how does one prepare for detoxification?

Isabelle: Preparation for detoxification is essential to ensure its effectiveness. This includes psychological preparation, where the individual agrees and familiarizes themselves with the process. Detox aims to eliminate toxic overloads from the body, resulting from our lifestyle and consumption habits. Depending on the level of toxicity and vitality of each individual, I adapt the type of detoxification, starting with gradual steps to avoid any unnecessary stress on the body. Whether for beginners who require step-by-step guidance or for those who already have dysfunctions or energetic imbalances, I can propose methods such as mono-diet and physical rest.

What is the contribution of mom solutions during the retreats?

Isabelle: Mom solutions help support the body’s cleansing process by promoting deep regeneration and helping to release toxins stored in tissues. They also offer additional energy support, which can be particularly beneficial during intensive cleansing phases where the body draws on its energy reserves. During the retreats, I organize relaxation and sharing times, where participants can recharge their scalar energy by sitting on the energy cushion. I also use mattresses for deeper relaxation sessions. Thus, the experience is complete and transformative, allowing everyone to regain balance and vitality.
